If you have kids in school or belong to a church or organization, you will understand about the subject of fundraising. From my own experience, I have researched the topic for my children’s school and it can get very frustrating. You want to have cool fundraiser ideas to present to the parents and ideally they would be free. Recently, I came across a new fundraiser which is really exciting!

The school, church or organization pays $99.00 to become an affiliate of Ambit Energy. This price includes unlimited access to their own website and fundraising flyers in the back-office of the web page. The organization then asks their members to enroll in Ambit’s money saving natural gas program. It is free to enroll and the members who do will not only be guaranteed a 1% savings on their natural gas bill, but they will also get a 3day/2night hotel stay for free. (Imagine being able to give your members something instead of asking them to give you more money!) There are many more advantages to becoming an Ambit customer, such as travel rewards points earned each month, and even the opportunity to get free natural gas bills month after month.
What does the organization get in return? Depending on the home size of the people who enroll, and the amount of energy they use, the organization can make anywhere between $2 – $9 per person each and every month! If you have 100 people sign up who fall into an average band of energy, your organization would make $500.00. It doesn’t stop there, however. Ambit has a program which makes it advantageous for its customers to sign up other customers. Ambit offers the opportunity for people to earn free gas if they sign up 15 customers. If a customer signs up 15 friends under their web page, those 15 friends gas bill is averaged and subtracted from their bill. Also, if they sign up just 5 customers, they will win the choice 6 different travel packages. This means that the club, school, or organization has the potential to earn a lot more if their members sign up friends and family. Imagine if 100 people from your organization signed up for Ambits money saving energy program, and they each got 5 friends to sign up.
